About Judit Child. L.M.T.

Since an early age I have been drawn to health-related practices, such as yoga, and studying diet and nutrition. As a naturally active person it's been a challenge for me to sometimes sit still! However, for the past 10 years  I have included meditation practices. My love of dance gets translated into my massage work; even when I am doing specific pain/injury therapy work, there is a flow and continuity to my sessions.

My role as a massage therapist is to assist my client in feeling more at ease with their physical body and my advanced training gives me the tools to work specifically on areas of pain or discomfort using precise soft tissue modalities. Applying a variety of soft-tissue techniques, joint mobilization and client participation in stretching, my intent is to reduce discomfort, create more functional movement and improve body alignment. I believe massage is both an art and a skill and my goal is to always give an elegant yet effective session. With over 28 years of experience, what sets me apart is that I really listen to the client’s body and am committed to continued training with the best teachers in the field.

I graduated from the Florida School of Massage in 1988, having completed a 1,000-hour program. However, my State board exams were for a New York license, as I was offered a position as Massage Therapist with the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in up-state N.Y. For several seasons I managed their Wellness Center as well as providing massage. I was fortunate to also work with their clientele during their winter programs in the Virgin Islands and later in Costa Rica.

Puerto Rico (hablo español) and Minnesota were two other places I spent time working in. In 1997 I moved to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands and joined a team of therapists offering massage and spa services at the prestigious Caneel Bay Resort. I was proud to be part of a program as manager and one of the senior therapists that Condé Nast Traveler readers voted #9 in a 2012 poll of Atlantic and Caribbean spas.

In mid-2016 I re-located to Orlando to be close to family and am happy to oversee the office of Kaizen Chiropractic Solutions and provide soft tissue therapy to the patients here. I have since registered as a Chiropractic Assistant in order to be of more service to Dr. Diaz.

My interest in physiology, structure and alignment, plus my desire to ease client’s specific injuries led to studying NMT (Paul St. John method) and I became certified in Neuromuscular Therapy in 1995. My present studies are with Eric Dalton as I have found his techniques to be in line with my interest in pain management and advanced bodywork and I am currently working towards completing his Master Myoskeletal Therapist program.
